Interpersonal trust refers to the willingness of individuals to put social resources into the disposition of the other person based on their benign expectation of the actions and intentions of the anonymous person.As a social signaling mechanism,Interpersonal trust has the effect of promoting national economy,social development and enhancing the life satisfaction of individuals.Therefore,the influence factors of interpersonal trust have been paid close attention by economists,psychologists and other experts.Studies have found that interpersonal trust levels rely on self-control,and the more self-controlling individuals are,the more likely they are to be able to undermine trust in others and gain more trust.This research indicates that self-control can promote interpersonal trust,but its specific role and mutual influence mechanism are not clear,and the theoretical discussion and empirical study on the topic selection are still lacking.Interpersonal trust include impulse component and meditation component,which are the cognitive process of two kinds of mutual antagonism,impulse composition is mainly related to mood and emotions,and meditation composition is mainly related to perspective taking,value orientation and self control cognitive factors.Therefore,this study intends to explore the influence of self-control on college students' interpersonal trust,and comprehensively consider the dynamic relationship between self-control,value orientation,cognitive empathy and interpersonal trust.Studies 1 explored college students' self-control and the relationship between the interpersonal trust level,and the value orientation and cognitive empathy intermediary role between the two variables.And used a self-control scale pointer,value orientation of the slider test,human reaction scale and interpersonal trust scale,329 college students of colleges and universities in jiangsu province were measured.Study 2 used the same participants group with Study 1,require the participants according to oneself circumstance to complete the trust questionnaire constructed by Yamagishi,and we have examined students' self-control and general tendency of the relationship between trust and trustworthy,further investigate the mediation role of value orientation and cognitive empathy;Study three for experimental research study,we selected 237 participants from study 1 participants group,and required the participants to completed a single trust game,demonstrated that Self-control can positively predict trust behavior,value orientation and cognitive empathy play a role of intermediary between the two.Through the analysis of multiple mediation effects:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between self-control,value orientation,cognitive empathy and interpersonal trust;(2)Value orientation and cognitive empathy can not only separate plays a role of intermediary between self-control and interpersonal trust,and the value orientation and cognitive empathy between self-control and interpersonal trust chain multiple intermediary effect;(3)The mediating mechanism between value orientation and cognitive empathy between self-control and general trust and trust tendency is not the same.Value orientation in self control and completely intermediary role between trust tendency,cognitive empathy in self control and generally not completely intermediary role between trust,value orientation and cognitive empathy between self-control and general trust chain intermediary role.(4)Value orientation and cognitive empathy not only can separate the intermediary role between self-control and trust behavior,and the value orientation and cognitive empathy between self-control and trust behavior chain multiple intermediary effect.
