Exploration On The Music Culture Of The Miao Festival In Danzhai County

Ritual music is in accordance with the environment,emotion and purpose of specific ritual in form and style,which is a music that can produce physiological and psychological effect on participants of ritual.Ritual music is composed of belief system,ritual and ritual music.It belongs to subsystem and in core position in the whole system of traditional music.Ritual music of Jiyou festival is the ritual music of mountain ethnic village society,Is the “patterning” behavior in “sacrificial ritual” context,mainly includes sacrificial songs,sacrificial words and Lusheng songs,is the important carrier in its culture system and is also the communication tool for priest to communicate between two thresholds of “ordinary” and “extraordinary”.This paper selects ritual music of Miao people's Jiyou festival in Danzhai County as the research object and tries to explore the national belief in ecological environment of ritual music for Jiyou festival-ritual behavior-ritual music behavior-ritual music from the multiple perspectives of musicology,cultural ecology,ethnology and with adoption of music notation,morphologic analysis of national music and ritual sound research method.It has drawn the following conclusions:According to the myths,when there are human beings after the creation of the world,there are totally nine Miao ancestors in Danzhai.The second ancestor is called You,who is smart in born,good at fighting and respected by people.You was killed in one battle and his descendants migrated to Danzhai and settled down in Yangsong and Layao.You is their great ancestor.To sacrifice You,people decide to hold Nong Se You in the first chou day in October of lunar calendar,so that they can mourn their ancestors who can't come back home and let “them” find the way of return.Ritual music of Jiyou festival has profound witch culture color as the symbol carrier of psychic communication in ritual process.The belief(ancestral worship)in ritual music sets up order through ritual behavior,builds up connection through ritual music and inherits belief in Jiyou ritual.Ritual music of Jiyou festival adopts patterned ritual process,presents basic explanation structure of “music-culture-physiology” and guides priest to communicate between people and god.The belief system of ritual music of Jiyou festival in local cultural habitats is composed of three organic parts of belief-ritual-sound,and them composes three-dimensional music cultural event,takes belief as “heaven”,takes place as “earth” and takes behavior of activist “people” to present way and behavior integration.The solidification model in ritual music culture guides ritualist to communicate between two thresholds.Ritual music also adds more sacred color to ritual.Ritualists sacrifices heaven and earth,respects ancestors and perceive themselves through ritual music of Jiyou festival,so that enough courage and strength will be given to them in front of unknown things.
