In this study,middle school students were taken as the research objects.Questionnaire survey and literature review were used to summarize the previous studies on subjective well-being and personality characteristics of middle school students at home and abroad.Secondly according to the “happiness scale of middle school students ”produced by Miao Yuanjiang and professor Zhang Jianxin's revision of the" big five personality inventory”,a school of 600 middle school students' subjective well-being and personality characteristic has carried on the questionnaire survey research,in order to understand the status of the current middle school students' subjective well-being and personality characteristics,which provides certain guidance for students' mental health.Finally,the research results are analyzed and discussed,and the corresponding Suggestions on how to improve the relationship between subjective happiness and personality characteristics of middle school students are put forward.The research results are as follows:First,the happiness level of middle school students in Changchun is above averageSecondly,there is a significant difference in the subjective well-being of middle school students between gender and grade.Boys' happiness is significantly higher than that of girls'.Happiness levels decrease as the age increases.Third,different family economic conditions significant difference exists among middle school students' subjective well-being,in the aspect of life satisfaction and positive emotions,Families in better financial shape group is significantly higher than poor,the poorer group,general group and the very good group;The negative emotion group was higher than the positive emotion group.Fourth,there is a significant difference in the subjective well-being of middle school students due to different parenting styles.In terms of life satisfaction and positive emotion,the parents' parenting style comprehension group was significantly higher than the laissez-faire group and the severe punishment group.The negative emotional severe punishment group was significantly higher than other groups.Fifth,there is a significant difference in subjective well-being of middle school students under different learning pressures.In terms of life satisfaction,the lower study pressure group was significantly higher than other groups.For negative emotion,high learning pressure group is severely exceeded than low pressure group.Sixth,there was a significant difference in subjective well-being among middle school students with different academic performance.In terms of life satisfaction and positive emotion,the group with excellent academic performance was significantly higher than the group with poor academic performance.Negative emotions are just the opposite.Seventh,there is a significant correlation between subjective well-being and personality traits of middle school students.Extroversion,conformity,conscientiousness and subjective well-being were all positively correlated.Neuroticism was negatively correlated with subjective well-being in all dimensions and the total score of subjective well-being.Openness has nothing to do with negative emotion,and is positively correlated with other subjective happiness dimensions and the total score of subjective happiness.In addition to the negative emotion,the total score of personality is significantly positively correlated with the other dimensions of subjective happiness and the total score of subjective happiness.
