Learning a language is to be able to use it in real life,so in addition to theoretical knowledge,it is necessary to create many practical opportunities to master a foreign language well through repeated practice.As an important places of cultivating applied talents in higher vocational colleges,English as an important professional course,the current need to summary before teaching the insufficiency,and increasing emphasis on practical courses,explore,build a set of consistent with our country education teaching English practical teaching system,so as to produce more high quality,professional ability of English.For the traditional English teaching,its teaching methods there are many adverse factors to learners of English,the factors that the practical application of skills to learners of English have very big effect.Especially the current dominated by the core quality of vocational education system and the deepening of the relevant teaching and research,many higher vocational English teachers has been committed to exploring can promote higher vocational college English application ability of teaching methods,through continuously improve teaching activities,improving the students' participation,its teaching form,content and so on are toward enrichment direction.Based on this,the higher vocational school should clear awareness,developing English teaching curriculum reform is a very large system engineering,through long time practice and summary,and play the role of teachers and students is difficult to promote the teaching reform smoothly,more needs teachers,school,society and enterprises,and so on all subjects actively cooperate with,only do it in this way,can we truly achieve the curriculum reform smoothly,can truly cultivate social needed for each big industry in the field of professional and technical personnel.This paper in the process of research,a large collection of the relevant basis of higher vocational college English teaching practice,and theoretical basis for research and field survey research into the practical teaching work.The combination of theory and practice has been fully realized,and the value of theoretical foundation has been brought into play.In the course of actual teaching investigation,many problems are analyzed,and corresponding countermeasures and improvement measures are put forward.Taking jiujiang vocational college as an example,the teaching and learning work carried out by the teachers and students,and the company's demand for English teaching in higher vocational colleges were investigated thoroughly.The paper summarizes the existing gap between English teaching and enterprise demand in higher vocational colleges.Based on the aim of promoting the teaching of professional English,the reform measures are formulated in terms of teaching philosophy,teaching mode and teaching reform.Therefore,it can provide a meaningful reference for the successful completion of the current teaching of English practice in higher vocational schools.Through the investigation and research,to a certain extent,can provide higher vocational college English teaching with certain basic theory,can also for other higher vocational colleges to carry out English teaching reform to provide the corresponding reference.
