| This article is a monograph on the aspectual system of Zunyi dialect.This paper mainly studies the aspectual system of grammatical category.By means of description and analysis,synchronic comparison and diachronic exploration methods,based on the relevant theories of descriptive linguistics,historical linguistics,cognitive linguistics and cognitive linguistics,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the aspectual system of Zunyi dialect.It focuses on the aspectual markers which are different from Mandarin and have a higher degree of virtualization,then examines the syntactic environment appearing one by one,analyze their grammatical meaning and pragmatic function,and discusses their grammatical process.The paper is divided into four chapters.Chapter One“Introduction”:mainly introduces the general situation of humanities geography and dialects in Zunyi city,and the present situation of the research on this topic,and explains the purpose,content,method,style and the source of the corpus of the paper.Chapter Two“The Aspect of Zunyi Dialect?I?”:conducts comprehensive survey on the grammatical meaning,grammatical function of inchoative aspect“qi1??1?”,durative aspect“qi2??2?,dao???,dao qi????”and perfective“le???”.Through multi-direction comparative analysis,it is concluded that:the inchoative aspect“qi1”is grammaticalized from the directional verb"qi???”;the durative aspect"dao???"in southwest Mandarin comes from"dao???"rather than"zhe???".“dao???”means dynamic duration,“qi2???”means Static duration,the grammaticalization degree of perfective“le???”is not as good as mandarin.Chapter Three“The Aspect of Zunyi Dialect?II?”:describes and analyses experiential aspect“lai1??1?,guo1??1?”,pre-inchoative aspect“lai2??2?,dou???”,re-inchoative aspect“guo2???”.Through synchronic and diachronic investigation,it is found that:"lai1??1?"can only mean an act or event experienced not long ago;the pre-inchoative aspect“lai2??2?”is grammaticalized by the experiential aspect“lai1??1?”;the original word of pre-inchoative aspect“dou???”is“zhuo???”;the"guo1???"of the“completed"belongs to the experiential aspect.“guo1??1?,guo2??2?”was directional verb,grammaticalized in the position of directional complement.Chapter Four“The Manner of Zunyi Dialect”:investigates the meaning and usage of short-time manner“V?????[i?21 xar24/33]”,tentative manner“V?????”,repetitive manner“?V?V?V?V?”.This chapter uses the same method compared with the functional grammar to draw the following conclusions:“V?????”simply refers to the neutral Tone sandhi happens in short-time,can be regarded as the short-time manner of semi-function word;“V???”emphases more on short term meaning than“V?????”;the variant“V???”can be used not only as short-time manner but also as casual manner.“V?????”in Zunyi dialect cannot be tentative manner since the word“?[kan24]”has become a clause marker.The repetitive manner of“?V?V”and“V?V?”difference in verb matching and grammatical functions.Chapter Five“Summary”:Comprehensively explore the characteristics of the aspectual system of Zunyi dialect and summarize the mainly content of the article,pointing out the problems in the paper and the prospects for future research. |
