Abstract/Summary:
Zunyi dialect blongs to the southwest sub dialect of north dialect in China, which is an important part of our southwest dialect. Over the years, Zunyi dialect research has made some achievements and cognition, but the breadth than other dialects is still deficient, especially in the special grammar phenomena of overlapping, aspect markers, particle and syntax, etc, which needed further deepen study. Therefore, the dissertation carrys out systematic investigation and research of Honghuagang district dialect in Zunyi city based on a large number of the actual language materials and the achievements of researches conducted by preceding scholars. The overlapping form is relatively rich in Zunyi dialect. Among which, the adjective reduplication overlapping forms mainly indicates the degree of enhance or weaken, and the verb overlapping forms mostly shows try and transience, or increase and decrease of momentum. The aspect and mood system of Zunyi dialect is divided into five aspects and four mood marks: qi 1stands for the beginning aspect, qi2 and dao1 stand for the durative aspect, yao stands for the future aspect, dao2 and qi3,guo1 stand for the perfective aspect,guo2 stands for the experiential aspect. In addition, marks of mood including short-time, repeating, attempting and belittling. The grammatical meaning of these marks of aspects and moods is more elaborate and delicate compared with those of mandarin. There is no one-to-one correspondence between aspect marker and grammatical meaning. And the same aspect marker can appear together in a sentence. The usage of Dao in Zunyi dialect is classified into three subdivisions: dao used as a verb in Zunyi dialect is basically the same as the verb dao in mandarin;dao3 indicates the result and serves as resultative complement or potential complement; dao1 denotes the duration of dynamic or static, which is usually used in the imperative sentence, dynamic and static sentence, the serial verb sentence. The syntactic structure of the passive sentence with zhao in Zunyi dialect can be divided into two types:NP1+zhao+NP2+VP, NP+zhao+VP,which is averagely with negative semantic color.Compared with mandarin, the structure and semantic color of that passive sentence are relatively single, and syntactic component is more complicated. There are similarities and differences between Zunyi dialect and mandarin and other Southwest dialects.
