The Fallen "Venus"

As a common theme in western art creation,Venus is not only a symbol of beauty,motherhood and desire,but also is advertised as a female figure in traditional aesthetic.Relevant works include Botticelli "Venus Birth,Giorgione,Sleeping Venus,Titian,Venus of Urbino,etc.There are also a series of sculptural works of art that are listed in the text.With the development of art history and the change of aesthetic standards,the image of Venus also begins to change.In the moment when the female image is imprisoned by the aesthetic,many "definitions" or "undefined" imprison the free image of the present female.In this paper,we will analyze the image of the classic sculpture and analyze the change of the female aesthetic image and the current thinking in the light of the context of the era,and will continue the thinking and exploration in the thesis to my graduation creation.In this sculpture creation,I also hope that through the questioning of the aesthetic standards of contemporary female images,arousing public dialogue.
