In the 21st century,international cooperation and exchanges are increasingly frequent,and the use of spoken English is particularly important.In recent years,with the development of English education in China,it is more and more important for students to have a certain oral communication ability.However,most of the students' English learning in school has been dominated by examination oriented,teachers pay more attention to grammar knowledge and ignore the students' oral expression.Due to the shortage of educational resources in China,oral English has not been paid attention to.Especially in some rural schools,students' oral English expression ability is insufficient and their English learning efficiency is low.Therefore,it is of practical significance to study the problems existing in oral English teaching in rural schools.On the basis of summing up the previous research experience and achievements,combined with the requirements of the new curriculum standard,first of all,through questionnaire survey,interview and other methods,combined with the field observation of classroom teaching,from the "teachers' attitude to oral English teaching,students' attitude to oral English learning,oral English learning environment,social support" and other dimensions to improve the rural oral English teaching situation.This paper makes a systematic and in-depth study.On this basis,we find that there are some problems or difficulties in oral English Teaching in rural primary schools,including "insufficient attention to oral English teaching,poor effect of oral English teaching,lack of students interest in oral English learning,and lack of good oral teaching resources and environment".By analyzing these problems,it is found that "the relative lack of teachers' professional quality,the difference of students' ability,the lack of clear objectives of oral English teaching,the single teaching method,the unscientific teaching evaluation and the relatively backward teaching concept of rural oral English are the main reasons for the difficulties in rural primary school English teaching.Finally,combined with the analysis of the existing problems and causes of rural oral English teaching,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for improving oral English teaching,including "strengthening teachers,improving oral classroom teaching effect,enriching oral English teaching resources",etc.
