With the fierce competition of the modern society, various kinds of psychological problems have become prominent. There are various ways to resist compression, but not every one of them goes without side effects.Sometimes people are good at repressing a lot of stress and avoiding confronting with stress, but this repressive way will make the mood uncontrollable at some point. When confronting with this situation, the individual needs to resolve psychological pressure and achieve psychological balance.Skopos Theory believes that the most important factor in the process of translation is the purpose, and the translation purpose of the translator is to convey the relevant knowledge of psychology.Meanwhile, the psychology text is a powerful tool for understanding one's own psychological phenomena. In this sense, translating the book that related to psychology is of significance. The translation project is mainly composed of two parts. The first part is the Chinese translation. The original text is excerpted from Coping and the Challenge of Resilience, written by Professor Erica Frydenberg. This book mainly describes how individuals can better solve the psychological challenges encountered, explores the best ways for children, adolescents and adults to understand their own psychological activities, and how to guide individuals to cope with stress through contemporary coping theories. The second part is a translation report and is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the background and significance of the translation project and the background of the source text. The second chapter mainly outlines the process of the translation. The third chapter specifically explains the Skopos Theory, including the three rules of the theory. The fourth chapter is the key point of this report,in which it discusses the translation methods and techniques of the psychology text under the guidance of Skopos theory. The fifth chapter severs as the summary of the enlightenment that obtained from the translation practice.By writing this translation report,on the one hand, the translator not only has an understanding of the psychological problems, but also summarizes the translation methods and techniques of the psychological text translation, which in turn improves the translator's translation competence. On the other hand, the translator hopes that the experience in translating English psychology text can provide some references for those who will translate this kind of text in the future.
