Research On Li Yuxiu And His Writings

Li Yuxiu(1647 —1729)styled himself Zi Qian and also alias Cai San.He lived in Zhou Zhuang village in Jiangzhou who was a famous scholar and educator in the early Qing Dynasty.His works are mainly The four classes,Lecture class and Elementary class.The research on these works is not only provide historical materials for the scholars who study on The Four Books,Science,Private School and female education,but also help to the comprehension about the personality and the thoughts of Li Yuxiu.The study also reflects the social impact of cross-cultural background where Li stayed at.The thesis holds significant value in the process of protecting and inheriting the regional culture and enriching cultural contents.However,researchers only focus on the life experience and Disciple rather than the writings.The studies on the writings of Li is not comprehensive enough even no one shows interests in them.Through the data-based approach and previous research achievement,the author of the thesis study the writings of Li from four aspects.From the perspective of life experience of Li,the author briefly introduce the life experience,the harmonious family atmosphere,the apprentice,learning from friends(Wang Huanzeng,Jia Mingxi,Xie Peizhen),the official career as Zhu Xuan,and lecturing situation.Secondly,it introduces Li 's six works`s editions,contents and values in succession.Specifically,six works are divided into The four classes,Lecture class and Elementary class.Four books: the book named Si Shu zi Lei Shi Yi is divided into six categories to explain the important real characters in detail,which can be used as a dictionary for the study of four books.Si Shu Zheng E refute the wrong understanding of the four book and the main intention of the four books.It can be looked as an auxiliary book for the study of the four books.Lecture class: the book of Shui Xian Bai Yong tell the scholar dispose of the evil using the narcissus in the form of poetry.Song Ru Da Wen Yue explains thirty Confucian classics in detail,which can be used as a basic book for the study of science.The Elementary class: Xun Meng Wen was renamed by Jia Cunren.I also compared the difference of the contents and the changes of the two changes in detail.Xun Nv San Zi Wen Zhu explain Li ChunFang`s Xun Nv San Zi Wen,which provided the historicalmaterials for the study of the women's teaching in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Finally,it sums up the value of Li Yuxiu's writings.For example,the supplement to the bibliography of the common ancient books made Li Chunfang's Xun Nv San Zi Wen preserved and circulated,and provided the historical materials for the study of the evolution of the disciples and he Four books and the science.In addition,Li Yuxiu also made judgment in Jiangzhou`s education and social customs and other aspects of the influence of Confucianism thought.
