A Preliminary Study Of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody

Liszt,with its great love and innovative spirit of music,and superb technology of piano playing,has created many miracles in the 19 th century in the history of western music.He left a great legacy of music,as a big treasure of musical arts and precious data of understanding the predecessors' music creation.In his many music works,piano works occupy a very important position.His piano divertimento "Hungarian Rhapsodies" is an epic about the Hungarian national music,which is a window to understand Hungarian music.Therefore,the analysis of the divertimento is better for us to further understand the Hungarian national music and Liszt's style of piano creation.In this paper,there are four chapters to analyze the Liszt's "Hungarian rhapsodies".The first chapter is the summary of Liszt and its music composition,including three parts: 1.Liszt's three stages of creation.Analyze the influence of his music creation from different periods of his life and ideological changes;2.Liszt's main works and contributions.Summarize all his important works and analyze his contributions to the western music by these creations.3.The main features of Liszt's piano compositions.State the main features of Liszt's piano works,which makes the preparation of the "Hungarian rhapsodies " in the later text.The second chapter is the introduction of "Rhapsody" and Liszt's "Hungarian rhapsodies ",including two parts: 1.the source and development of “Rhapsody”.Summarize Liszt's contributions to perfect “Rhapsody” through the analysis of the source and development of “Rhapsody”.2.The motive background,material sources and creation features of composing “Hungarian rhapsodies”.Analyze the historical background,cultural background,material source and creation features of "Hungarian rhapsodies" to understand the special patriotic feelings contained in the works,and Hungarian national music elements embodied in the works.The third chapter is the text analysis of ”No.7 of Hungarian rhapsodies”,including two parts: 1.The overall analysis of the work.2,The analysis of melody and mode.Take “No.7 of Hungarian rhapsodies" as an example to analyze its musicalstructure and mode.The fourth chapter is the analysis of performance of “No.7 of Hungarian rhapsodies”.Make deep analysis of this work from terminology markup,music emotion,technological types,practice methods,pedal usage,and many other aspects to understand this work from various angles,which can better interpret the meaning and national characteristics of the music in the performance.The author reads a lot of academic papers and biography about Liszt in the process of analyzing of "Hungarian rhapsodies" divertimento and proposed her own view on the basis of summarizing the predecessors' achievements.The author takes "No.7 of Hungarian rhapsodies" as a case study and understands in depth and made conclusion through the analysis of the concrete music score,technical training,and the principle for use of pedal in the process of practice.Share this paper with everyone,which has the double meaning of the theory and practice to better play this song.
