The Study On Expressing Space And Location In Shi Shuo Xin Yu

Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties were the main stage of the Mediaeval Chinese.This paper chooses ShiShuoXinYu,a representative document of Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,as the research object to investigate the basic features expressed by this literature and discuss its changes on this basis.This paper consists of an introduction and four chapters:The introduction summarizes the reasons and significance of the topic selection,and summarizes the research on the topic selection.defines localizer words and location words,elaborates research methods,research ideas and corpus sources.Chapter one divides the expression of localizer in ShiShuoXinYu into absolute expression and relative expression of localizer.It makes a detailed statistical analysis of these two categories,and analyze the spatial orientation semantics of localizer as well as the characteristics and scope of localizer reference components.Chapter two divides the expression of the location in ShiShuoXinYu into direct expression of location and expressing the location by participated location preposition,and makes a detailed analysis and description of these two categories.In the direct expression part,location markers and orientation markers are involved,and the naming markers and their semantic features are investigated.The location prepositions are divided into six categories,and the problem of location expressed by the prep-object phrase,which composed of location prepositions is introduced in this chapter.Chapter three compares ShiShuoXinYu with ShuiJingZhu and ZhanGuoCe respectively,and makes a comparison in the change of the number and expression function of location words;outlines roughly the situation of location expression in Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties.On the basis of existing research,this chapter analyses the evolution of space meaning of location symbol "Suo/Xu" from ancient times to Southern and Northern Dynasties and the development and change of the word order of the locative prepositional phrases.The fourth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the research results of this paper.
