Both Chinese and Thai Languages have location words.location words,as frequently used basic words,usually express the concept of space.When Thai students learn Chinese location words they are prone to bias.To study the types and causes of errors in Thai students,and to put forward countermeasures,can effectively help students to reduce bias and improve their Chinese proficiency.The object of study is 16 Chinese location words such as "up and down,left and right,east and west,north and south,middle,inner and outer,etc" as well as their composition of positional phrase.First,comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai location words from the aspects of category,location,grammatical function,and semantic function,and to understand the difference between second language and native language.According to a comparison,there is a certain correspondence between Chinese and Thai location words,that is there is a semantic overlap.However,in Chinese and Thai,the positions of location words and nouns are basically opposite.Searching the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,and find 633 corpora of errors in the use of location words in the composition of Thai students.Analysis of the language materials,preliminary induction of the bias type.On this basis,combined with teaching experience,the test questionnaire of 76 questions was designed.Eighty-nine Thai high school students were tested and the results were descriptively statistically analyzed.According to the analysis results of comprehensive corpus retrieval and testing,the main types of biases in which Thai students learn Chinese location words are the mixture of location words and the omission of location words,mainly due to negative transfer of Thai knowledge and interference of Chinese knowledge.At last it is suggested that the teaching of Thai Chinese localizers should be divided into three stages,step by step,firstly talking about the basic meaning of location words,then explaining the meaning of extension and the near-synonym discrimination,and finally to carry out a comprehensive consolidation.From microcosmic viewpoint,we should reasonably grasp the teaching strength of localizers,and make a key comparison with Thai Languages...
