An Empirical Study On The Acquision Order Of Meanings Of 'Shang/Xia' To International Students

Through the investigation of "Jinan University student written corpus",we find when using the verb "Shang and Xia" as a predicate,students have shown a clear tendency of different meanings,thus stimulating research motivation.Research steps of this paper:First,determining meanings of the verb "Shang and Xia",we take "XIANDAI HANYU BABAI CI" as standard to study 10 kinds of meaning of "Shang" and 12 kinds of "Xia".Second,we use method of relative correct frequency and implication scale to analyze all related corpus of "Jinan University students written corpus",and then acquire the order of "Shang and Xia" in corpus and record this order as acquisition order 1.Third,we make a "test volume" to test the acquisition situation of primary,intermediate and advanced Chinese level students about predicate verb "Shang and Xia".We will collect them back and use correct rate method to determine the acquisition order and then record this order as acquisition order 2.Finally,we compare acquisition order 1 and 2 to acquire the final acquisition.This article uses the principle of statistics,combines with corpus and test,and accords to the acquisition level theory to calculate the final sequence and the acquisition level of "Shang and Xia" :(? 1?? 9)>(? 3?? 4?? 5?? 6?? 7?? 10)>(? 2??8);(? 1?? 7?? 12)>(? 2?? 3?? 6?? 9?? 11)>(? 4?? 5?? 8?? 10)?Finally,this paper studies the order of the verbs "Shang and Xia" in four sets of Chinese textbooks of �Boya Chinese�,�New Practical Chinese Reader�,�Road To Success� and �HSK Standard Course�,compares the sequence characteristics of these books and makes a brief analysis by combining with this article.On the basis of acquisition level and examination of four textbooks,we make a brief teaching plan of "Xia".
