Study On Funeral Folklore And Drama In Jinzhong District

The first chapter analyzes the specific content of the ancient funeral folklore in detail,and divides the content of funeral folklore into four forms which are Buddhist Ceremony,wind and percussion ensemble,theatrics,and exorcism,then has a specific research of them,next,analyzes historical records of the protection of the opera,finally,finds the reason why Chinese opera is prevented from being destroy is that it establishing orthodox folkways,maintaining social stability,preventing heresy,cultivating frugal social morality and managing the extravagant behavior.The second chapter analyzes the current situation of funeral folklore,and compares the ancient funeral folklore with the modern ones,then analyses differences and similarities of the funeral folklore in Jinzhong District.We hope to learn the whole characteristics of funeral culture are complex and elaborated,they both use a large amount of funeral cost,have great obituary notice,and same funeral ritual,but havedifference in the following aspects: concepts of rank,current funeral essence is themiscellaneous coexist of the product of Chinese and western funeral and the funeral service gradually various.The third chapter analyzes the ideological change of the funeral culture from Zhou Dynasty to Qing Dynasty,and obtainsthree widespread cultural characteristics,which are etiquette with strong vitality,elaborated funeral with repeated emergence,cultural space under the multiple thoughts.The fourth chapter respectively takes the acting occasions,structure,language,music and dressing these five aspects of Qi-Tai Yangko as the breakthrough point,discusses the connected relationship between performing occasions and ceremonial occasions,and looksforward to getting following two conclusions.On the one hand,performance occasion decides the content and the form of the performance;on the other hand,performance occasion intensifies exercise meaning of the whole ceremony process.The structure of the performance determines the scale of the funeral drama,the performance language enriches the enjoyment of funeral drama,the music of performance promotes the development of folk local opera tunes and the costume of performance adds the local artistic features to the funeral drama.The fifth chapter is about the content of the funeral drama and its social and cultural functions.It points out that there are three kinds ofperforming ways in funeral rites,which are spiritual ceremony,moralized performance,and funny performance.The sixth chapter focuses on the life of the performer of the funeral ceremony,and analyzes the composition of two different kinds of drama classes,which are organized by community and organized by one person.It hopesto conclude that the main spot of drama activity istaking place during the weddings,funerals and festivals.It also analyzes the characteristics of the main flow of the artistscentered on their own village and radiated around their surroundings.What's more,itexplores the three ways in which artists inherit their skills.These are family inheritance,mentoring inheritance and social inheritance.This paper has the special geographical background of Jinzhong District where includes Qixian,Pingyao,Taigu and other ten counties and collects Chinese traditional funeral culture,historical literature,cultural relics,the field investigation and all kinds of materials.The main contents of this study are unique and splendid funeral folklore,the development and inheritance of the funeral performance,and the state of lives of the artists.By arranging the specific content of funeral folklore,learning the connotation of the culture,and comparing ancient and current condition systematically,the purpose is to demonstrate the blending and interdependent relationship between funeral customs and funeral folklore in Jinzhong District.
