Current information technology develops rapidly.How to effectively integrate information technology with subject teaching and make it serve for classroom teaching better are what teachers and scientific research workers focus on.As a new multi-functional product of classroom teaching informationization,interactive electronic whiteboard is gradually replacing functions of traditional blackboard,computer,projector and many other devices and becomes the main technology of classroom teaching.It has characteristics of technology integration,resource integration,interactive platform and normal application.It not only creates vast space for classroom teaching and students' learning,but also provides rich teaching resources,which offers great convenience to teachers' teaching and students' study.At present,interactive electronic whiteboard is widely used in primary and secondary teaching.Based on this situation,the author chooses 360 students and 90 English teachers from Xiaoyi No.2 High School,Zezhou No.2 High School and the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University as research subjects,aiming to know about the actual using condition of interactive electronic whiteboard in senior high school English classroom teaching through questionnaire and interview.This thesis is developed by centering on three questions.1.How is the using condition of interactive electronic whiteboard commonly-used functions by senior high school English teachers?2.How do teachers and students evaluate the using condition of interactive electronic whiteboard in senior high school English teaching?3.What problems are there during the using process of interactive electronic whiteboard in senior high school English teaching?SPSS and Excel are used to do data analysis in this thesis.The following findings are gotten:The overall using condition of interactive electronic whiteboard commonly-used functions by senior high school English teachers is relatively positive.According to the using frequency,from more to less,the following ordering can be done: writing and erasing function;compatibility and storing function;displaying function;resource utilizing function;strengthening function;saving and replaying function;editing and interacting function.Students' evaluation about the using condition of interactive electronic whiteboard is relatively positive.Most of students think that the use of interactive electronic whiteboard in English teaching helps to improve their interests in English learning.And there are also some students who think that the use of interactive electronic whiteboard helps to deepen their impressions on learning contents and improve their classroom participation.And each function of interactive electronic whiteboard is greatly beneficial to their English learning.English teachers' evaluation about the using condition of interactive electronic whiteboard is also positive.Compared with traditional blackboard teaching,almost all of them think that interactive electronic whiteboard is more applicable to senior high school English teaching.In addition,there are some problems existing in the using process of interactive electronic whiteboard in senior high school English teaching.They are as follows: compared with traditional blackboard teaching,teaching strategies and the way students acquiring knowledge in interactive electronic whiteboard teaching don't change;teaching resources about English teaching provided by interactive electronic whiteboard are single and can not assist English teaching well;some English teachers can not operate interactive electronic whiteboard very skillfully;compared with traditional blackboard teaching,interactions between teachers and students,students and students in interactive electronic whiteboard teaching don't be strengthened.At last,some relevant suggestions aiming at theses problems are put forward,which hopes to provide a certain reference for the better use of interactive electronic whiteboard in English teaching.
