A Study On The Effectiveness Of English Reading Course Based On Interactive Electronic Whiteboard

As a new teaching medium and powerful teaching tool,interactive electronic whiteboard not only retains the advantages of traditional blackboard teaching,but also inherits the advantages and characteristics of modern multimedia.The application of interactive whiteboard in classroom teaching has been extensively studied and deeply discussed by educators at home and abroad.With the promotion and application of interactive whiteboard in middle school English classroom,its teaching effect has become a topic of concern to educators.This study probes into the application and effect of interactive whiteboard in English reading classroom teaching,summarizes the present situation of interactive whiteboard classroom teaching at home and abroad,and expounds the theoretical basis of interactive whiteboard classroom teaching.This paper analyzes the teaching effect of interactive whiteboard English reading course.In this study,100 students of two classes in a middle school in suburb of Wuhan were selected as experimental subjects,and English text reading was used as teaching content.A two-month comparative study was carred out on the basis of interactive whiteboard teaching and traditional blackboard chalk classroom teaching.Using the methods of classroom observation,questionnaire investigation,teacher interview,reading test and so on,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are carried out to analyze and study the cognitive level,learning interest and reading ability of students in interactive whiteboard classroom teaching.The influence of information literacy and other related factors on the students' attitudes and views on interactive whiteboard English reading teaching is also investigated by questionnaire.After two months of comparative study,the author finds that the interactive whiteboard based English reading class can promote the classroom teaching effect.
