A Comparative Study On The Styles Of Baroque Painting And Frescoes Of Fahai Temple

Since the emergence of art set up,religious painting has become one of the subjects that artists like and want to express.The expression of murals in the form of murals is also a subject that artists have been studying since ancient times.At the same time,Baroque painting has an important position in the history of Western art.Baroque art began to appear,and countless artists were influenced by it to form the artistic style of various schools,which still affects the modern art of all countries in the world.Since the founding of the temple in the early Ming Dynasty,the frescoes of the Fahai Temple have been well preserved,though they have been weathered and frosty.The frescoes of Fahai Temple are full of artistic charm.Their artistic characteristics are unique.Whether they are from painting techniques,artistic concepts or ideological connotations,they deserve our attention and in-depth study.Therefore,this paper will focus on the comparative study of Chinese murals and Western paintings,trying to find out the similarities of their styles,so as to facilitate a more comprehensive understanding and learning.This paper will mainly use the methods of literature research and investigation.The article is divided into four parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which includes the academic background and significance of the comparative study of Baroque painting and fresco style of Fahai Temple,the current research situation,research purposes and main research contents,so as to facilitate the summary of previous research results and establish the research direction of this paper.Chapter two gives a brief overview of Baroque painting and frescoes of Fahai Temple,introducing their contents,artistic value and influence.The third chapter will compare and analyze the two styles,which are divided into six aspects.First of all,the definition of "style" should be understood.Then,around the definition of "style",the styles of Baroque painting and frescoes of Fahai Temple are elaborated respectively.The contents mainly include their luxurious characteristics,religious color,inheritance and innovation of predecessors' styles.The following content is the unique aesthetic comparison between Baroque painting and frescoes of Fahai Temple,which will be discussed in detail from the four aspects of their characters,composition,color and metaphor in painting.Style comparative study is not only about the comparative study of painting style,but also to dig deeper connotations,so as to uphold the axes,so the internal spirit of the two should also be discussed in detail.Above content,we can find the Baroque painting style embodied in the frescoes of Fahai Temple,and this will lead to thinking about the direction of the development of eastern and Western art.As this paper is a comparative study,the conclusion will draw a conclusion of style comparison between the two.Through the study of these parts,this paper holds that the style of Baroque painting is similar to that of the frescoes of the Fahai Temple,which can be called the "Eastern Baroque".And strive to express the style of the times,people's beliefs,humanistic spirit and craftsmanship spirit.
