A Research Report On The Translation Practice Of Informative Text

With the rapid development of Chinese economy,Chinese enterprises become stronger and stronger with sufficient capital,while on the contrary,those from Europe and America are facing weakening economy and have to undersell their enterprises.It has become a kind of trend and tendency for some Chinese enterprises to step out of our native market and join the world's competition.While more and more enterprises take part in the commercial activities of international mergers and acquisitions,the relevant information such as laws and regulations,operation instructions and real antitrust cases is far from sufficient,and there is little information and material in the market about it,which cause the Chinese enterprises meet with many difficulties.For this reason combining with the author's university feature and the writer's own interest,HSR fiscal report was chosen as translation material which can show many true antitrust cases for Chinese enterprises'reference.In this report,HSR fiscal report is selected as translation practice,and Skopos theory and its principles as theoretical guidance to study the translation of informative text.This report includes five chapters.The first chapter introduces the background of the HSR fiscal report including the brief introduction of the original text and its meaning and value to our society.The second chapter shows the process of translation practice,including notices which need to be considered before and after translation,collection of relevant material and defining text type.The third chapter tells the main content and principles of Skopos theory,which contains brief description of this theory,its principles and the significance to the translation of HSR annual report.The forth chapter is translation practice under the guidance of Skopos theory and its principles which is also the most important chapter of this report,including analyzing words,sentences such as passive sentences and sentences with dash,and passage.The fifth is practice summary,containing the author's translation practice experience and deficiencies.
