Research On The Classification Of Huiyi Characters In Shuowen Jiezi

The Classification of Huiyi Characters in Shuowen Jiezi written by Xu Shen(abbreviated as Shuowen)is not mentioned.And the study of Classification of Huiyi Characters by scholar is existing limitation.This paper analyzes the 634 words that are determined in the Shi Dingguo's The Study of Huiyi Characters in Shuowen,and analyzes them verbatim analysis,aiming to explore the classification of Huiyi characters.The article is divided into three parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the research status,research purposes and significance,research methods,and research difficulties of the classification of Huiyi characters in Shuowen.It can be seen from the current research situation that the academics insist that the "meaning depending on pictograph components" theory is only suitable for the part of the Huiyi characters.Although some scholars have seen the problem of "meaning depending on pictograph components",they have not come up with the classifications of Huiyi characters.So the classifications of Huiyi characters need further exploration.The first chapter is the theoretical basis.The main research results of the system of radicals and the rules of arranging characters about Shuowen."Meaning depending on pictograph components" is existing discrepancy with the rules of arranging characters.The classification of Huiyi characters was controlled by the system of radical and rules of arranging characters.Therefore,we should focus on the relationship between words and words to explore the classification of Huiyi characters in Shuo Wen.The second chapter is to analyze the Huiyi characters.First of all,there are indeed some parts of Huiyi characters that are according "meaning depending on pictograph components",but from another point of view,the words that conform to the "arranging characters by meaning".Secondly,without main meaning Huiyi characters are abide by the principle "arranging characters by meaning" under the system of radical of Shuo Wen and the rules of arranging characters.One the one hand,controlling by the system of radical of ShuoWen,there are 112 Huiyi characters that can only be attributed to the ministry of the radicals.At the same time,most of them follow the principle of “arranging characters by meaning”.One the other hand,controlling by the rules of arranging characters,when more than one morpheme are all radicals,261 Huiyi characters follow the principle of “arranging characters by meaning”.there are also characters of vesting in the two radicals,which are also consistent with the results of the "arranging characters by meaning" principle.Third,the other type is that the radical only has one word in order to avoid the return of the empty head.There are still a few characters of reluctance to return to the radical,and there is no connection with the words in the radical,just for the sake of the word.In short,the Huiyi characters is generally followed by the principle of “ arranging characters by meaning”.
