The change of generations leads to the alternation of old and new,and the progress of technology accelerates the pace of society development.With the popularization of technology,the development of Chinese film and television art has entered a new stage.As a civilian art creation form,micro film allows people to participate in art creation at a lower threshold.Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest has been held for 11 years since 2008.As one of the authoritative contests in Shandong,it has always been at the forefront of film and television cultural activities,actively responded to the national call,and led the development of micro film industry in Shandong,even the whole country.The growth of the Internet provides a basis for the spread of film and television,and the support of laws and regulations brings a good creative environment for micro films.Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest has provided a new way for creators to pursue their self-value.There are more and more young creators joining in Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest,and they are more concerned about the creation characteristics and development trend of the winners,etc.Therefore,the author believes that the research on Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest and its creation is of theoretical value and practical significance.This article mainly focuses on the development process and the works of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest,discussing the characteristics of its two development stages,analyzing the creative characteristics of its winners,summarizing the problems of the development process and the works,and giving corresponding development strategies.The research are divided into six chapters,respectively conducting the analysis and study from six aspects including relevant conceptual theories,development process and trend,theme type,narrative strategy,audio-visual language and problem & strategy.In the first part,the author will define the concept of youth micro film and Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest,and will distinguish micro film and micro video,bedding for thetitles of the two contest stages in the following chapters.In addition,the author will suggest to conduct the research on Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest based on the youth subculture theory and postmodern culture theory.In the second part,the author will firstly sort out the development process of Chinese micro films,and conclude that the stages of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest are inseparable from the development of Chinese micro films.Then,the article will study the two stages of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest and conclude the trend change in three aspects: the creative group changes from single campus to diversity society,the works change from various types to widespread sources,and the creative style changes from simple emotional expression to professional highlight of main theme.In the third part,the author will arrange the theme types of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest,and divide the feature films into the types of social problems,emotions & dreams,historical culture,spiritual civilization and others;the documentary into folk intangible cultural heritage,character's life,food & attractions,politics & history recording;the cartoons into philosophical fables,culture & emotions,legends and allusions,public benefit publicity;and public welfare films into moral and emotions,safety and order,ecological and environmental protection,political environment and cultural education.It is concluded that under the influence of the youth subculture,the creative group of the Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest tends to express the emotional expression and personal emotion of the ordinary people in the choice of the theme of creation.In the fourth part,the author explores the narrative strategy based on the theory of modern culture,and concludes the characteristics of the democratization of narrative subject,non-linear narrative structure and planarization of narrative style.In the fifth part,the author sums up four distinct features of the works of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest from the perspective of audio-visual language: the first is the use of long lens and small scenes,the second is the use of symbolized background to maximize information,the third is the use of subtitles as an effective supplement to the picture,and the fourth is the use of dialects to highlight the regional characteristics of the film.In the sixth part,the author will divide the problems of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest into two parts.The first is of the contest itself: single channel,lack of benefits and influencepower limitations;secondly,the works have poor creativity,mixed quality and improper attitude.According to these problems the author will propose the corresponding development strategy.As for the contest: expand channels,improve profitability,enhance brand influence;and the works: pay attention to innovation,deepen connotation,correct attitude.Finally,in order to provide theoretical reference and guidance for young creators,this article will summarize the problems and shortcomings of this research,and put forward a reasonable expectation to the future development of Shandong Youth Micro Film Contest according to the current situation.
