Changzhi Basin is located in the southeast of Shanxi Province. In recent years, archaeological investigations and excavations in this area have found rich cultural relics of the pre-Qin period, which provides new archaeological data for the development of this topic.Firstly, this paper combs the prehistoric relics of Changzhi Basin with stratigraphy, typology and other methods, determines its cultural nature, and establishes the development sequence of prehistoric culture in this area.Secondly, through the analysis of cultural factors, this paper explores the exchange and interaction of archaeological culture between Changzhi Basin and its adjacent areas,as well as the way,way and historical background of exchange and interaction. Finally, through the study of the changes of the prehistoric settlements in Changzhi Basin, the cultural development and social changes in the prehistoric period of this area are comprehensively analyzed. The full text is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which briefly describes the space-time scope of the study, the past archaeological discoveries and research status, the significance of topic selection. The second chapter establishes the development sequence of prehistoric culture in Changzhi basin on the basis of the existing materials by stages. The Yangshao culture in this area can be divided into three stages and six segments. The early relics of Longshan Age can be divided into two stages and four segments. The late relics of Longshan Age can be divided into two segments.Chapter three, through the analysis of cultural factors, explores the exchange and interaction between the region and its neighboring cultures,as well as the way,way and historical background of the exchange. The research shows that Yangshao culture is mainly influenced by the culture of Western Henan and southern Shanxi in the early and middle stages of Yangshao culture;in the late stage of Yangshao culture, the cultural factors of northern Henan, southern Hebei and central Shanxi began to enter the Changzhi Basin;in the early Longshan period, the culture of Western Henan, southern Shanxi,Central Shanxi and southern Henan began to compete fiercely in the Changzhi Basin, and eventually the culture of northern Henan and southern Hebei took the upper hand, which lasted till Late Longshan period.Chapter four studies the changes of settlement morphology and social development process in this area by means of settlement archaeology. In the early period of Yangshao culture, the Changzhi Basin ruins were found in a small number and area, and the social development was in the initial stage;in the middle period of Yangshao culture, the number of ruins increased sharply, the grade of settlements began to differentiate, and settlement groups appeared, and the society developed initially;in the late period of Yangshao culture, the number of ruins decreased, the source of Henan and Xiyuan of Zhuozhang decreased, and the social development was at a low ebb;in the early period of Longshan era,the number of ruins The number of ruins in the late Longshan period declined, but it was still higher than that in the Yangshao culture period, and the society was more stable. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.Changzhi Basin is located in the convergence zone of the three major cultural areas of Western Henan, southern Shanxi, central Shanxi and Northern Henan and southern Hebei. It has become the key area for the three major cultural systems to compete for.Its cultural features are complex and diverse, and it has never embarked on the road of independent development.During the Yangshao Culture Period, the cultural outlook of the area was roughly the same as that of the western Henan and southern Shanxi, while that of the Longshan Culture Period was basically the same as that of the northern Henan and southern Hebei.
