As China keeps implementing the “One Belt One Road” initiative,more and more countries included in the project get interested in Chinese history,literature and culture.As an important country of the “Belt and Road”,Uzbekistan has a long history of cultural exchange with China.Adapting a new internationalized culture and developing its educational background,it pays more attention to the translation of Chinese literature as well as carries out the translation of Chinese literary works into the Uzbek language.This study focuses on the history of Uzbek translation literature development,especially the translation and introduction of Chinese literature in Uzbekistan.The development process can be divided into three historical stages.In the first stage,translations into Uzbek of many Persian and Arabic works appeared in Uzbekistan from the 14 th to the 19 th centuries.Unfortunately,did not find the evidence of translation of Chinese literature into Uzbek language.In the second stage,Uzbek culture and literature in the Soviet Union period were influenced by Russian literary works.The introduction of Chinese literature was mainly based on Russian translations,and there were translations of Chinese literature from Russian into Uzbek language.In the third stage,after Uzbekistan's independence,the translated literature into Uzbek language was developed.The last part of the study is a case study of "Cat Country","Strange Stories from a Chinese studio","Wine Country" and Chinese fairytales translated into Uzbek language.It discusses the development of the literal translation of Chinese literary works and the problems that arise in it as well as the future development direction.As a foreign student whose mother tongues are Russian and Uzbek,the author analyzes the translation of Chinese literature in Uzbekistan from the perspective of the overall development of Uzbek literature,hoping to bring evidence to Uzbek literature researchers,translators and sinologists.
