Acceptance Of Qian Qianyi In The Late Joseon Dynasty

Qian Qianyi plays an important role in the history of the Chinese literature.His writings were also passed to Joseon Dynasty,which also belonged to Classical Chinese world like China,and also caused the curiosity and concern of many intellectuals in the late Joseon Dynasty.The purpose of this study is to examine the aspect of the acceptance of Qian Qianyi in the late Joseon Dynasty.As for the issue of the acceptance of Qian Qianyi in the late Joseon Dynasty,considerable research achievements have already been accumulated in Korean academia.However,previous researches have mainly dealt with intellectuals of late Joseon Dynasty,such as Park Ji-won's acceptance of Qian Qianyi,after they knew that Qian Qianyi surrendered to the Qing Dynasty.This paper systematically summarizes the process of intellectuals' acceptance of Qian Qianyi in the late Joseon Dynasty by collecting and summarizing the existing literatures of the Joseon Dynasty in the 17th and 18th centuries.In addition,this paper examined the change of intellectuals' acceptance attitude of Chinese literary through the examination of the acceptance of Qian Qianyi.Last but not least,this paper also identified the changes in the Chinese consciousness of intellectuals in the late Joseon Dynasty.This paper includes a total of 5 chapters.The first chapter introduces the subject of this study mainly as an introductory part,expressing the purpose and the meaning of this paper,and also introduces the present study and collectively related preceding research.Chapter 2 examines the time and path of Qian Qianyi's books entering the Joseon Dynasty.After Qian Qianyi's books entered the Joseon Dynasty,intellectuals of Joseon Dynasty did not know that he surrendered to the Qing Dynasty at first.Chapter 3 mainly introduce the acceptance of Qian Qianyi during this period,including the expectation of intellectuals of the late Joseon Dynasty while they reading the works of Qian Qianyi.In addition,this paper clearly stated that the demand pattern of the times during this period did not simply proceed from the literary aspect as before.The Joseon Dynasty's intellectuals criticized the the past and the present Chinese literature with a more obj ective and critical view and a relatively equal attitude.Chapter 4 recalled the process of intellectuals of the late Joseon Dynasty knowing Qian Qianyi as a human.At first,intellectuals of the Joseon Dynasty saw Qian Qianyi as a great literary of the Ming Dynasty,but later they criticized his personality fiercely,and his literatures were also denied.Chapter 5 is the conclusion.Qian Qianyi was in a special era of the exchange of the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty,showing a somewhat contradictory behavioral pattern during his life,which was an important factor in the acceptance of his literatures in the late Joseon Dynasty.Through the changes of intellectuals,acceptance attitude of Qian Qianyi in the late Joseon Dynasty,their acceptance attitude of Chinese literatures during this period,and the changes of their Chinese recognition can also be observed.
