As the development of information technology, people can use the Internet to learn online courses from prestigious schools without leaving home.A series of open courses offered by Yale University have received much attention for the quality. At present, the open course translation only stays in the subtitle, and there are very few situations of on-site interpreting, which will be more in the future. In this way,the audience can learn new knowledge and get close to the interpreting. The important role of interpreting in the dissemination of open courses cannot be ignored. In this report, the author selects Yale University open course Listening to Music as the object, including the first lecture Introduction and the second lecture Introduction to Musical Instruments and Musical Styles, which lasts for a total of one and a half hours.During the two lectures, the teacher asks questions and some students give answers, and there are also other live interactions. The simulated interpreting was about two hours. The author hopes to study the interpreting strategies and methods of open course through on-site interpreting, and tries to provide reference for other people to do similar practice.However,on-site interpreting is time-limited,and interpreters are under the multiple pressures, such as the lack of professional knowledge. Therefore, the author not only needs to master common interpreting skills, but also has the ability to cope with unexpected situations. The accumulation of encyclopedic knowledge is also essential. This report is composed for five chapters. In the first chapter, the writing background and the main layout are introduced;in the second chapter, the author tells the task, including the specific description of interpretation, consecutive interpretation and interpretation model;the third chapter is related to the specific process of simulated interpretation(the description of specific works of the three stages of interpretation);the fourth chapter is the specific case analysis, which is the most important part;in the fifth chapter, the author summarizes the main content and makes reflections. The subject of this selected class is music,so the author has learned new knowledge, greatly broadening her horizon and enriching the knowledge reserve.Through this simulation interpretation, the author further clarifies the strategies and methods of open course interpretation, which is conducive to offer the reference for similar researches.
