Qu Dajun's was born in ethnic contradictions very sharp change of Ming and Qing dynasties,has a strong sense of national distress and anti-Qing thought,at the same time,his works are also full of profound patriotism and people's feelings of people's livelihood.Qu Dajun's 's life works are numerous and stylish,of which Guangdong Xinyu is an important book of local history,a total of 28 volumes,more than 440,000 words,recorded Guangdong's political,economic,people's livelihood and other aspects of the content,including astronomical geography and mountains and rivers,important figures and major events,Lingnan customs and poetry records,there are also folk handicrafts and trade exchanges,animal and plant descriptions,monster and strange things.In recent years,the results of the research on Qu Dajun's works are increasing,but there is still a need for further exploration.Starting from the two aspects of Qu Dajun's and Guangdong Xinyu,the first part of the text studies Qu Dajun's personal life,ideological causes and writing achievements,and the second part analyzes the background,style and content,value and deficiency of Guangdong Xinyu,and reveals the connotation,value and significance of Qu Dajun's and Guangdong Xinyu.
