Procrastination is a common phenomenon among college students.A large number of studies have shown that long-term procrastination not only wastes time,leads to inefficient tasks,but also induces negative emotions of students,which has a negative impact on students' physical and mental health,thus arousing more and more attention of educational and psychological researchers at home and abroad.At present,most of the studies on procrastination focus on the measurement tools,influencing factors and related variables,and intervention studies are few.On the basis of previous studies,this study used cognitive-behavioral intervention technology to investigate the effect of group counseling on improving procrastination from two aspects: improving self-efficacy and improving non-adaptive perfectionism.This study investigated the basic situation of college students' perfectionism,self-efficacy and procrastination with the Almost Perfectionism Scale,General Self-efficacy Scale and General Procrastination Scale,and explored whether group counseling could improve procrastination behavior.Study 1 investigated 737 Undergraduates' perfectionism,self-efficacy and procrastination,and their relationship.Study 2 was the intervention.The subjects were students with serious procrastination.Group counseling program was designed based on Group Dynamics Theory,Self-efficacy Theory,Solution-focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,at the same time,Cognitive-behavioral technology was adopted,focusing on improving College Students' self-efficacy and unreasonable cognition,has been carried out seven times.Starting from three aspects of cognition-emotion-behavior,it gradually improves procrastination behavior,and ultimately enables members to learn to plan and grasp their lives.Combining research 1 and 2,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The overall Procrastination of college students is at a medium level,41.9% of them live in a moderate or above procrastination;the Perfectionism of college students and its two dimensions are above a medium level;and college students have a higher level of self-efficacy.(2)In demographic aspect,there are significant grade differences in procrastination,adaptive perfectionism and self-efficacy among college students in grade factors.In gender factors,there are no significant differences in perfectionism and procrastination scores between male and female college students,and there are significant gender differences in self-efficacy,and male students have significantly higher self-efficacy than female students.(3)Procrastination has a significant negative correlation with adaptive perfectionism and a significant positive correlation with non-adaptive perfectionism.Procrastination has a significant negative correlation with self-efficacy.Self-efficacy was positively correlated with adaptive perfectionism and negatively correlated with non-adaptive perfectionism.(4)Adaptive perfectionism and self-efficacy significantly predicted procrastination negatively,while non-adaptive perfectionism significantly predicted procrastination positively.(5)Self-efficacy played a partial mediating effect on the prediction of procrastination by perfectionism,and the effect was significant.(6)After the intervention,the procrastination degree of college students decreased significantly and improved in the aspects of cognition-emotion-behavior.Meanwhile,according to the feedback and interviews of group members,the effectiveness of the group intervention was verified.
