In recent years, with the continuous improvement of China's economic strength and international political influence,Chinese language and Chinese cultural overseas education have been increasingly valued by the education departments of the world.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, bilateral relations have witnessed great development, especially the frequent economic and trade exchanges between the two countries in recent years.More and more Germans are beginning to understand Chinese culture or learn Chinese, among which the Confucius institutes and classrooms in Germany are an important force promoting the development of Chinese teaching in Germany. However,in recent years, many primary and secondary schools in Germany have also opened courses on Chinese language and Chinese culture, and the Chinese teaching in Germany has become increasingly involved in a wider range, and the craze of Chinese learning has become unstoppable.According to statistics, out of the 3,000 middle schools in Germany, more than 200 have set up various forms of Chinese language courses or established cooperative relations with Chinese schools, among which more than 60 have promoted Chinese language to the subjects of the senior high school graduation examination. It can be seen that the demand for Chinese teaching in German middle schools is growing day by day, which is not only because of the promotion of China's status in the world political economy in recent years, but also because of the German's curiosity about a culture that comes from the history of western thought and the European tradition. However, most German middle schools only set the Chinese course as "interest class" mode, which has no strict teaching outline and evaluation,no requirements for teaching content, and even fewer class hours. Most schools only have four class hours for interest classes every week.Very few schools achieve or exceed 100 hours a week. With the rapid development of the international promotion of Chinese around the world, the teaching and research of Chinese as a second language or foreign language has gradually become a common concern of experts and scholars in the field of second language acquisition.Among all the factors that affect second language acquisition,"learning motivation" has always been regarded as the key factor that determines the learning effect of foreign language learners.Like other European countries,Germany is far from taking Chinese as one of the common foreign languages to learn. Many Germans have long been biased or stereotyped against China due to the reports of western media. The ultimate goal of the promotion of Chinese in Germany is to eliminate cultural prejudice and stereotypes, promote the German's recognition of Chinese culture, and enhance learners' Chinese learning motivationThere are not many studies on Chinese learners in European countries, especially on the Chinese learning motivation of specific groups.Although there are studies on the Chinese learning motivation of German Confucius institute students, there is no research on the Chinese learning motivation of German middle school students. This paper will be based on the theory of second language acquisition research, based on the reference predecessors' research on German Chinese learners' learning motivation, the author in the German state of lower Saxony Stade Athenaeum middle school Chinese teaching practice, focus on the characteristics of the object of study, empirical research,in-depth discussion of Chinese and German high school students learning motivation related to German high school students how to inspire or an upgrade of Chinese learning motivation relevant rationalization proposal is put forward, for Chinese learning career in Germany after the middle school and the development of modern provide some references for related research.
