Documentary is based on the actual events of real people,and is the authentic material obtained from life,which is further edited and packaged.Documentary character,is the choice of social life with distinctive personalities or has typical significance to social characters in the creation,the creation of documentary characters always occupy the mainstream space,because the character documentary has strong appeal,the show is authentic life,this paper based on the author’s graduation works"Lai Dongfang,a singer for Rongcheng" as an example,from conception,narrative strategy,making to the documentary character and artistic characteristics constitutes at the same time,how to emphasize the pursuit of objective and true record sheet.The creation idea,we analyze from the establishment of the theme choice and the theme and the narrative strategies from the narrative style,narrative perspective,narrative structure and artistic characteristics are discussed,analyzed the artistic features of production techniques and the works of the late works show.
