What happens in financial markets is tied to our personal interests,so it's very important to maintain their stability. The financial crisis in 2008 made people realize that regulative models based on the perspective of economics can not control the risks in financial markets. Therefore, new regulative methods are needed to maintain their stability. The source text of this translation practice is “Finance in a Just Society”,Chapter 1 of Just Financial Markets? The author of this book argues that financial markets have their own features, such as the diversity and complexity of financial products, the development of electronic trading ways and the inherent instability of financial markets. Thus, financial markets should not be regarded as a subgroup of general markets. The smooth operation of general markets depends on the regulation focused on efficiency as well as simplifying mathematical models, which do not apply to financial markets. Therefore,in order to promote financial markets' stable development,we must take a new perspective into account, and that is the perspective of justice. The translation report is aimed at combining translation theory with translation practice and accumulating experience by analyzing the problems arising from the process of translating. This report is composed of four parts: introduction of translation task, description of translation process, analysis of translation cases and summary of translation practice. And the analysis of translation cases is the core of this report. The translator collects difficult and vital problems of this translation practice at first, including translation of terms, comprehension of long and difficult sentences and cohesion of discourse.Next, the translator divides those problems into three categories: vocabulary, syntax and discourse, and selects typical cases from the translation. Then, under the guidance of translation theories, translation techniques and professional knowledge of the financial industry, the translator explores thetranslation methods of those cases. Finally, comparing the original translation with the conclusive one,the translator explains that the conclusive translation is closer to the expression ways in the targeted language, and puts forward solutions to problems of the same kind.
