Zheng Huaixing is one of the best drama writers because he has written lots of dramas which are good quality and have deep implications.All of these make him establish the important position in the history of Chinese contemporary dramatic.Zheng Huaixing's historical dramas are the main subject matter.In his process of drama creation,Xin Ting Lei and Jin Gong Han Yue include his creating concept of historical dramas,which run though the whole drama writing.From the new century,he pays more and more attention to the historical dramas which is the main part in his writing.Twenty-three historical dramas have proved the success in this field.This thesis's intention is to figure down that how the writer deals with the relation between the history and art,and tries to discuss historical rationalism and humanistic care.In the diachronic way,we can find his historical dramas have four periods—the budding period,flourishing period,ebb period and one more flourishing period.Then we can find that Zheng Huaixing has a bias towards historical dramas.And his writing style has become steady-going and full-blown.From the view of synchronic,we can find that he pours the modern feelings into the ancient events.By dialoging with historical events in his dramas,he conveys his thoughts about the relation between the history and reality,and gives his objects humanistic cares,where the artistic achievements lie in historical dramas.
