As a representative of the writers in the Southwest,the novelist Xia's has a wide range of influences.He has won the third Lu Xun literature prize,and four Frontier Literature Awards,etc.His novels use a variety of rhetorical methods,flexible use of a variety of expression techniques.This paper consists of three parts,the first part is the introduction,mainly introduces the topic origin,research significance,domestic research status and research methods.The second part is the main body of the thesis,which is divided into five chapters.the first part is the introduction,mainly introduces the topic origin,research significance,domestic research status and research methods.The second part is the main body of the thesis,which is divided into sixth chapters.The first chapter is the phonetic rhetoric art of Xia's novels.It mainly explores the use of reduplicated words,onomatopoeias and syllables in the writer's novels.The second chapter is the rhetorical art of the words in the Xia's novels.It mainly analyzes the dialects,idioms and linguistic language.The third chapter is the sentence rhetorical characteristic of Xia's novels,which are analyzed from the long and short sentences,the loose sentences,the sentence morpheme and the cognate recurrences.The fourth chapter is an investigation of rhetoric in he novels,specifically discussed the metaphor,analogy,exaggeration,repeat,and contradiction,etc.The fifth chapter is the narrative rhetoric art of Xia's novels.mainly discuss narrative perspectives and narrative structure.The sixth chapter mainly discussed the cause of rhetoric art of Xia's novels from the geographical environment,life experience and consciousness underclass.The third part is the conclusion,mainly on the previously summarized,and point out the direction of future research.
