With the development of global integration,cooperation and exchanges between China and other countries have increased dramatically.The "Chinese fever" has aroused a worldwide upsurge.At the same time,in the 1980 s,"Chinese as a foreign language" came into being as a comprehensive subject.As a new subject,teaching Chinese as a foreign language attracts more and more language researchers to pay attention to and explore oral teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.As the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is not long,various teaching methods are still trying.Nowadays,the teaching mode widely accepted and used by people is the traditional 3P teaching mode.It is undeniable that this kind of teaching mode can be applied in TCFL classes,but it also has some drawbacks.Nowadays,language researchers and teaching practitioners are turning their attention to Task-based teaching,a new teaching method.This learner-centered teaching method has been first applied in English teaching classes in China and is constantly being supplemented and improved.However,the research on oral Chinese teaching as a foreign language is still shallow,especially in teaching activities.Therefore,it is of certain research value to explore the prospect of the application of task-based teaching method in the teaching of spoken Chinese as a foreign language.Spoken language is a difficult skill course in Chinese teaching.There are many problems in the teaching of spoken Chinese as a foreign language,which make it difficult for students to master spoken language skills and apply them to daily life.In the long run,it is easy for students to have negative emotions in the learning of spoken Chinese,which is not conducive to the teaching of Chinese and the development of Chinese as a foreign language.Based on the relevant theoretical basis and research results of task-based teaching method,combined with the author's practice in primary oral English teaching in Melbourne,Australia,this paper attempts to apply task-based teaching method to primary oral Chinese teaching in Australia,observes its effect and puts forward some suggestions to improve the application of task-based teaching method in primary oral Chinese teaching.Firstly,the concept,concept and design principle of task-based teaching method aresystematically elaborated.Secondly,the teaching situation of spoken Chinese teachers and students in Australia are investigated and analyzed through observation,questionnaire and other methods,so as to understand and master the characteristics of spoken Chinese learning in Australia.Then,combining the basic idea,teaching goal and principle of task-based teaching method,the teaching practice of task-based teaching method is carried out through two specific cases.On this basis,the evaluation is made according to the feedback of students and teachers and the results of classroom observation.Finally,according to the implementation situation and the characteristics of task-based teaching method,it is proposed to grasp the oral course type and select the appropriate oral teaching materials.Providing effective language communication environment and controlling the difficulty of tasks.The significance of this study is to provide better teaching methods for oral English teaching,so that students can learn and use language in a series of real and meaningful tasks.
