Translation Of Intangible Cultural Heritage From The Perspective Of Cultural Turn:Practice Report On English Translation Of Shundian Embroidery Written

Based on the translation of Shundian Embroidery,this practice report makes an analysis and illustration of Shundian Embroidery project,translation process and difficulties the author met.Meanwhile,it expounds cultural turn,the relationship between cultural turn and the translation of intangible cultural heritages,the concepts and applicability of semantic translation and communicative translation.Finally,it summarizes the translation practice.This thesis intends to explore how to accurately express the implicit content of Shundian Embroidery,especially culture and historical traditions with Chinese characteristics,and make the translation much easier and accessible to the target readers.Through example analysis and practical exploration,finally the author comes to the conclusion that the comprehensive use of semantic translation and communicative translation,combined with flexible translation strategies and translation skills can help us to convey the implicit content of the original text,especially cultural information.In this way,we can make the translation more natural and appropriate,and achieve better communicative effect.It is hoped that this report can provide some reference and help to translators and MTI students who will be involved in the translation of intangible cultural heritages.
