A Study On The Taboo Characters Of The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Printing Books

The taboo characters of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom printing books were a kind of special words which was extensively used in the literature of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.The appearance of this kind of words was not only related to the inheritance of the system of the previous generation of taboo,but also its own background,religious culture,political power and so on.A study on the large number of taboo characters of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom can provide us reference on a better interpreting of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom,the identification of cultural relics,the edition collation,as well as the modern Chinese character collation.In this paper,we take"The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Printing Books"as the main research objects.Firstly,we sum up the research of predecessors.Then,based on the historical situation of the taboo characters of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom,we explore the content,the methods,the characters of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom printing books.The research will provide reference for correlational study about the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.
