Research On The Transformation Of Art Museum In The Background Of Media Convergence

This article focuses on the phenomenon of the transformation of art museums.It aims to summarize the functions and communication characteristics of traditional art museum from the perspective of art communication.Through this to explore the influence of media convergence trends on the transformation of art museums,and summarizes the composite forms and propagation characteristics of art museums under the new media technology from the macro and micro levels,and reveals the essence of its transformation.This article believes that media convergence is the phenomenon of borderline ablation between various media driven by digital technology.Under the intrinsic influence of the "new museology" theory and the external drive of the media convergence trend,the ills of the traditional art museum were highlighted and the media transformation began.There are two approaches to transformation: one is the reform of "art museum digitalization" based on physical venues and collections.The purpose is to extend the functions and services of physical venues,such as the Jiangsu Provincial Museum of Art.The other is a digital art museum that is completely separated from physical venues and exists in virtual space.It is an extension of the existence of art museums,such as the Today's Digital Art Gallery.On the macro level,media fusion affects the existence of the museum.On the micro level,such transformation has brought more kinds of works,a more sensuous environment and a better audience experience for the museum.This article believes that the museum media transformation is an effective means of its development,not the ultimate goal.The essence of the transformation of the museum is to use new media technology to extend its space and functions,truly respond to the new museum's "people-centered" concept,and allow science and technology to better serve people.From the perspective of media,the influence of media convergence under the guidance of digital technology on the transformation of art museum is also a process of re-mediating.
