A Report On The Translation Of Two Journal Articles About The Epidemiology And Pathology Of ZIKV

This report mainly describes the whole translation process of two medical journal articles about Zika virus.In this report,the translator firstly introduces some pre-translation preparations,including background knowledge preparation,glossary building and translation tools preparation.And next,by analyzing the translation material,the translator selects some translation theories to guide the translation process.Then,within the theoretical framework,the author analyzes some typical examples from three levels and puts forward some feasible translation strategies.This translation report is composed of three chapters.Chapter one is task description,including the source of the text,text features,research purpose and significance.Chapter two is process description,which involves pre-translation preparations,text analysis,translation theory introduction,comprehension and expression,proofreading and revision.Here,the translator selects Peter Newmark's text typology and communicative translation method as the translation support.Chapter three is the core part of the translation report.In this chapter,the author analyzes the translation strategy by integrating specific translation practices from lexical level,syntactical level and textural level.At the end of this report,there is a conclusion of the whole translation process.
