Currently,English teaching in senior high schools is far from being satisfied.As a language,English is relatively monotonous in content,and that the teaching lessons are only showed by the teacher will make the students dull in the class.Besides,students passively accept the knowledge during the learning process and most of them adopt the method of rote memorization to study,which lacks the spirit of searching and exploration,resulting that students have no enthusiastic in learning English and causing less communication and interaction between students and teachers.In order to explore a more effective way of teaching and learning,and change the traditional teaching method,this thesis applies the flipped classroom teaching model to English teaching in senior high school so as to increase students' interest in learning English,help the students find a better way to involve in learning English and play their main body role fully in the process of learning,cultivate students' autonomous learning ability and cooperative ability which finally make the students achieve the improvement not only in knowledge and abilities in learning English but also in their own individual development.Flipped classroom is based on constructivism,students' independent learning and communication and cooperation between teachers and students,which provides a theoretical basis for this research.This paper first analyzes the relevant literature of flipped classroom,and then takes a middle school in Qinzhou city,Guangxi as an example to study its implementation of flipped classroom teaching by means of experiment and investigation.Found in the study by the analysis of Spss19.0,applying the teaching modal of flipped classroom into practice has a certain positive effect on the students' English learning.To a certain extent,it enhances the students' ability on self-study and increases the communications between students and teachers as well as the co-operations between students,which stimulates the enthusiasm of students English learning,and improves their comprehensive ability.However,according to the data obtained from the flipped classroom experiment,the effect of flipped classroom is not very obvious,indicating that there are many factors influencing the effective implementation of flipped classroom in high school English teaching.From the perspective of technology,many middle school teachers do not have a technical team.Most of the teachers lack the support of modern teaching technology,and do not have a shared platform of educational resources.From the perspective of school personnel factors,teachers' thoughts are relatively rigid,and their teaching abilities are insufficient to carry out the flipped classroom teaching model.Moreover,due to the burden of lesson preparations and other factors,a small number of teachers hold the opposite views towards changing the teaching modal.Besides,the knowledge foundations of the students are relatively weak,and their independent learning abilities and self-control abilities are insufficient.There are still a few students who resist the implementation of flipped classroom because the capacity of flipped classroom is not as large as that of traditional classroom or their abilities to accept new things are poor.From the perspective of social factors,governments at all levels have different investment strength in senior high school education.Most of the governments have limited allocation of education funds,leading to the shortage of education equipment and the inability to successfully carry out flipped classroom teaching mode in high schools.In addition,China is still in the stage of examination-oriented education,whose teaching goals for college entrance examination cannot be achieved by the goals cultivated by flipped classroom.Meanwhile,most parents are worried about the implementation of flipped classroom teaching mode,which will affect their children's further education.Therefore,they opposed to the implementation of flipped classroom teaching mode.Based on the research,many aspects of flipped classroom teaching modal are not suitable for the current English teaching situation of senior high schools in China.Therefore,the author proposes several strategies to optimize the implementation of flipped classroom in senior high school in English teaching: establish a learning platform by using network information technology;increase the investment in modern teaching technology;strengthen teachers' comprehensive ability and construct teaching team mode;clear teaching logic and divide teaching tasks;enhance students' enthusiasm and guide their learning behaviors to establish self-learning model.Due to the narrow survey scope of this thesis,the author still needs to conduct further indepth research and propose better improvement measures,so as to truly find out the localized flipped classroom teaching mode which is suitable for implementation in the field of high school English education in China.
