In order to better promote the international exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in the field of vocational education and teacher development,China-ASEAN Vocational Education and Teacher Development Academic Forum 2018 was held in Guilin from 14 to 15 July 2018.This report is based on the author's interpretation practice in this forum.By analyzing the difficulties,problems and causes in the practice of interpretation,this report aims to summarize the common problems and solutions in simultaneous interpretation.This report mainly analyzes the challenges,problems and corresponding solutions that are encountered in simultaneous interpretation.Based on the author's practice of interpreting,three key challenges in the interpretation process are summarized: dealing with culture-related information,conveying the speaker's real intention and processing highly concise source language.If not dealt with properly,these challenges may jeopardize the quality of the interpretation.Besides,main difficulties encountered are also analyzed here,namely: accuracy,fluency and completeness of the interpretation.Whether the three requirements can be met will directly affect the audience's evaluation of the quality of the interpretation task.Finally,basic interpreting strategies in the process of interpreting are also mentioned here: through skilled and adequate preparation,proper efforts allocation and the mastery of interpretive theory,the interpreters can be more proficient in the process of interpreting,thus producing more high-quality interpretation.Examples are given to demonstrate these three key points in this report.It is hoped that the report can provide references for future practical activities.
