"Buddha" Youth Subculture Research

As a cultural form that is different and interactive with socially dominant culture,subculture is an important cultural composition of modern times and has always been a key research area for cultural scholars.With the popularization of the Internet,subculture practice activities have emerged one after another.Especially the youth subculture,which is mainly composed of young people,has never been more prosperous,huge and complicated,which has attracted the special attention of scholars.In December 2017,the “Buddha Department” quickly became a hot word in the hot network.The rapid spread of the Buddhism buzzwords has led young groups to start to call themselves “Buddha youth”,which eventually formed a complex and unique “Buddha” youth subculture.This article through the "Buddha" related Baidu Post Bar,Sina Weibo's participatory observation and text analysis of the "Buddha" network buzzwords,as well as in-depth interviews with members of the "Buddha" group,in the subculture Under the domain,explore the characteristics of the "Buddha" culture and try to explore the causes behind the "Buddha" culture.At the same time,through the reflection of the problems reflected in the "Buddha" culture,the paper analyzes the guiding measures of the "Buddha" culture.The study found that the "Buddha" culture is a gentle choice made by some young people between reality and self,reflecting the anxiety of the current youth group,and the similarity of the popular "mourning" culture in the previous period.However,the essence of the "Buddha" culture is very different.The "Buddha" culture has played a role in relieving stress and releasing emotions to a certain extent,but it cannot ignore its potential negative effects.Therefore,it is necessary for the whole society to make reasonable guidance and corrective actions.In addition,this paper hopes to understand the current development status of the society and grasp the psychological characteristics of the youth group through the exploration of the "Buddha" subculture,and at the same time,it can provide valuable reference for how to guide the subculture of "Buddha" culture.
