The main content of Story of Monk Shi from Baicao Yard in Long Xing Monastery in Ling Zhou is the Debate of Damage of the Three Religions,which is manuscript from Dun Huang.It records the debate about writing sutra with blood between Zeng Ren and Li Gongdu,which reflects attitude of Buddhism,and Taoism about Do not damage your body and hair that is from your parents,as well as features of times of integration of three religions,and it is impossible from Biography of Eminent Monks in the Song Dynasty,they can supplement each other.Baicao Yard of Helan Mountain,where Zeng Ren was locatd,was the center of spread doctrine of Esoteric Buddhism in the late of Tang Dynasty.It was due to the Buddhist belief of local leaders.7 manuscripts about Zeng Ren appears recordings about 13 monks,they have close relationship with government of ancient Chinese,their magical deeds increase and decrease by comparing with biography of monks.The characteristics of magical deeds are mystique reduce and secularization deepened by the vertical point of view.The tendency of the amount of magical deeds is decrease,then increase,and abatement again by the whole point of view.The ten dreams of the age of last Buddhism are found in P.3727,Those from the Buddhist sutras of Ekottara-Agama Volume 51,King of Sravasti'Dreams of Ten Events Volume 1 and Volume 3 of Buddha Said to the Gei Gu Zhang Zhe Nv De Du Karma Sutra show the characteristics of the end of the Dharma era.In addition,there are ten disciples of Sakyamuni when he lived in the world,and the inheritance of Fu Fa Zang Yin Yuan Zhuan are all related to the end of Dharma thought.The three recordings of monks obviously have chronological order,and this manuscript could be used for propagating and protecting the Buddhism.
