Objective:There is a significant difference in the level of self-esteem between left behind and non left behind children, and the correlation between the self-esteem level of the left behind children and the anxiety and loneliness to establishing a model of the relationship among the three.Method:Study 1 is a control experiment between leftbehind children and non-left-behind children, all the students aged 8-13 in Grade 3-6 of primary school A in Shapingba District of Chongqing were selected.Including177 left behind children(82 boys and 95 girls,47 in grade three,45 in grade four,46 in grade five,39 in grade six)and219 non left behind children(112 boys and 107 girls,51 in grade three,50 in grade four,46 in grade five,72 in grade six).Usingself esteem scale, anxiety scale and loneliness scale to evaluate the level, anxiety and loneliness of left behind and non left behind children Using SPSS correlation analysis to study the difference between variables.Study 2 explored the relationship between self-esteem and anxiety and loneliness of Left-behind children, and established a model.104 left-behind children were recruited to fill out the questionnaire in another rural primary school B in Shapingba District of Chongqing, including 46 boys and 58 girls. The different situations of left-behind children were collected in the questionnaire, which were: the length of stay(within half a year, half a year to one year, one year to three years or more),the situation of stay(father going out, mother going out, parents both going out),the frequency of parents returning home(every day,one week,January, three months to half a year, half a year). For more than one year, the correlation analysis and regression analysis of variables were performed by spss, and the mediation effect was tested by process plug-in.Result: Research one find out: There are significant differences in self-esteem,loneliness and anxiety between the left behind children and the non left behind children. The specific findings are as follows: by independent sample T test, there are significant differences in self-esteem,loneliness and anxiety between the left behind girls and the non left behind girls(p< 0.01),the self-esteem level of the left behind girls was significantly lower than that of the non left behind girls.Research two find out: while the level of loneliness and anxiety was much higher than that of the non left behind girls. There is a significant positive correlation between the length of stay of left behind children and the level of loneliness and anxiety(p< 0.01)?A significant positive correlation between the parents' home frequency of the left behind children and their anxiety level(p < 0.05).The correlation between the self-esteem,loneliness and anxiety of the left behind children reached a significant correlation.Anxiety was negatively correlated with self-esteem,positively correlated with loneliness, and selfesteem was negatively correlated with loneliness. The process plug-in test showed that the mediating effect of self-esteem level was significant. The self-esteem level of leftbehind children played a part of mediating role in the relationship between anxiety and loneliness.
