As a famous philosopher,scientist,and poet in the meantime,Gaston Bachelard(1884-1962)has a very special and important status in the Western academic circles of the twentieth century.The imagination theory is an important part of his poetics theory.Bachelard's imaginary theory contains rich embodiment,which has not been paid enough attention in the past research on Bachelard.Bachelard uses body to realize the combination of material and imagination to solve the dilemma of the dichotomy of mind and heart.This is not only an inherent requirement in his theoretical evolution,but also an unconscious response to the French phenomenological trend of his contemporaneous issue.At the same time,this physical connotation also gives Bachelard's imaginary theory a unique dimension.Therefore,this article focuses on the embodiment of Bachelard's imaginary theory,try to explore the logic,concrete connotation,contribution and enlightenment of this physical connotation,and reflects it from the standpoint of body aesthetics,aim to promote the study of Bachelard's imagination theory.This article is carried out from the following six parts.The first part is the introduction,which will explain the origin,research status and significance,ideas and methods of this research.The second part explores and analyzes the core conceptual substances,imagination and body of this paper.Partly from the history of Bachelard's thoughts,this paper examines the source of the physical intrinsic in Bachelard's imaginary theory and the legitimacy of the concept of body in its imaginary theory.The fourth part explores the evolution of Bachelard's imaginary theory.The process of mining the logic of the internality of the body,based on which to explore the specific content of its physical internality,trying to restore the physicality of Bachelard's imaginary theory gradually from obscurity to clarity,and finally to the whole twentieth century The traj ectory of the merge.The fifth part explores its meaning and contribution from the perspective of the physical connotation of Bachelard's imaginary theory;the sixth part is the conclusion.
