The study of Chinese mainly includes three aspects: Chinese phonetics,Chinese vocabulary and Chinese grammar. There are many corpuses of Chinese vocabulary, which makes it more difficult to study Chinese vocabulary. On the other hand,it also reflects the importance of Chinese vocabulary research. From the point of view of frequency of use, common words are the main part of Chinese vocabulary. The study of common words in Chinese is helpful to clarify the main line of development and change of vocabulary from ancient to modern, and to establish a systematic system of Chinese vocabulary history. From the point of view of part of speech, verbs play a central role in language use,and their great degree of change and high flexibility of combination can not be ignored.Because of the characteristics of the times from Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties, the words of "killing" were frequently used in historical books.Through the study of the words of "killing",we can not only explore the development context of common words from Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties, expand the corpus for the study of common words, but also contribute to the study of verbs. This paper takes ten representative words of "killing","Sha"(?),"Lu"(?),"Liu"(?),"Tu"(?),"Shi"(?),"Zhu"(?),"Zei"(?),"Qiang"(?),"Ji"(?),"Jian"(?)as the research object.By means of quantitative statistics, synchronic and diachronic combination, semantic and grammatical comparison and other methods, this paper makes an analysis of the semantic characteristics of vocabulary in Shang and Western Zhou Dynasties,Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period,Qin and Han Dynasties. The evolution characteristics of "killing" vocabulary in three stages of the period are summarized, and the reasons for the evolution of vocabulary are summarized. This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction. This paper introduces the background and problems of the study, explains the significance and objectives of the study, makes a brief summary and review of the relevant studies, explains the methods and sources of corpus used in the study, and explains the principles and standards of time division. The second part describes the use of "killing" verbs in Shang and Western Zhou Dynasties,Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period,Qin and Han Dynasties. It lists the frequency of use and the proportion of meaning of "killing" of each word in different periods in the form of graphs, and uses the method of "conceptual element analysis" to analyze the vocabulary semantically from four aspects: subject, object, cause and result. In terms of grammar, this paper makes a comparative analysis of whether each word has an object or not.The third part analyses the diachronic evolution of "killing" verbs from Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties.Summarize the evolution of each word, point out their evolution characteristics, and finally summarize the reasons for the evolution of vocabulary. The fourth part is the conclusion. This paper summarizes the research results of "killing" vocabulary from Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties, and points out the problems and shortcomings in the research process.
