Layout And Planning Thought Analysis Of The Upper Capital Of Liao Dynasty

The Qidan nationality is one of the nomadic nationalities in the north of China.Qidan establish capital itself before the "routes and house" nomadic life,with the expansion of the scope of Qidan nationality rule,Qidan ruling within the territory of the Han nationality population and then increased,the increase in population of Han nationality brought relatively advanced farming technology for Qidan nationality and culture,so as to greatly promote the economic growth of the Liao dynasty society.In order to further strengthen their rule,the khitan rulers established the first capital--upper capital of Liao dynasty,following the way of settling down in central China.In recent years,based on the 1962 and 2001,twice the upper capital of Liao dynasty on the basis of archaeological survey,the Chinese academy of social sciences archaeological research institute of Inner Mongolia in the second task force and the archaeological institute of Inner Mongolia of joint team again,back to the upper capital of Liao dynasty site to carry out the excavation,in upper capital of Liao dynasty and the layout of the city form,city construction,the condition of the structure of the walls and gates made many new discoveries.In recent years,it has been confirmed for the first time that there is an east-oriented axis in the upper capital site of Liao dynasty,and it is the first time that the structure layout of upper capital of Liao dynasty once faced east from the perspective of archaeology.This is similar to what Xueying,the khitan envoy of the northern song dynasty,said: "there are two halls of Zhaode and Xuanzheng,all facing east." In addition,it further clarified the scope of the imperial city of upper capital of Liao dynasty.It was determined that there were 4 gates in the imperial city of upper capital of Liao dynasty and 3 gates in the imperial city of miyagi.The construction of the city is the concentration of people's living and thinking in that period.The layout and construction of upper capital of Liaodynasty were also influenced by ideology and culture to some extent.Therefore,this paper intends to analyze the ideological and cultural factors influencing the planning of the upper capital city of Liao dynasty from the perspective of the layout planning based on the results of archaeological theory.In the writing process of the paper,this paper intends to analyze the natural geographical environment factors in the upper capital of Liao dynasty,and explore the environmental factors that affect the establishment of the upper capital of Liao dynasty.Secondly,combined with the archaeological data of the upper capital of Liao dynasty in recent years,the planning and layout of the upper capital of Liao dynasty are sorted out,and then the new understanding of the recent progress of archaeological work on the upper capital of Liao dynasty is analyzed,from which the cultural factors affecting the layout and planning of the upper capital of Liao dynasty are analyzed.This paper makes a comprehensive use of the theories and methods of urban morphology research in the disciplines of history,archaeology and geography.
