Research On The Planning Method Of Character Documentary Film

The ancients said,"Everything should be established beforehand,but not abolished beforehand".Everything must be well prepared in advance to ensure that things can be successfully completed.This concept is also applicable to the creation of character documentaries.Character documentaries can lead us out of the original social circle,understand other people's lives and inner world,and feel different living conditions.However,the documentary is not the reality itself,but the artistic works after the creator shoots and edits the objective characters and things with an aesthetic eye,with the creator's thinking and personal style.As the creator of character documentary,how to show more vivid characters in limited time,how to bring the audience aesthetic feeling,whether to touch the hearts of the audience,is the most concerned issue in the beginning and end of our creation.In the creative process,the creator should first take into account that in the process of pre-planning,he should make sufficient preparations,carefully plan the selection of subjects and shooting objects,communicate with the shooting objects for a long time,deeply explore the image of the shooting objects,sort out and select the content that should be shot,and create the unique artistic style of the work,so as to shoot and post-shoot the work.Editing lays a solid foundation.In this paper,the author will take his own film "Drum Rhyme" as an example,from the perspective of pre-planning and site planning,elaborate on how to plan,theoretical basis and importance of character documentary creation.I hope the viewpoints and suggestions of this paper can provide creative ideas and help for the vast number of documentary fans and practitioners.
