The teaching of ancient poetry is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,but there are few researches on the teaching of ancient poetry at present,the existing research mainly focuses on the theoretical research,and few researches have been done to investigate the classroom situation of the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry.This article uses the narrative inquiry method in the qualitative research,this method mainly applies to the investigation person's experience to carry on the research,in this research,mainly through the long-distance interview way,collects the research object's ancient poetry teaching experience,This paper analyzes the real situation of ancient poetry teaching in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language by analyzing the teaching experience of the investigated subjects.The existing research on teaching ancient poetry in Chinese as a foreign language is relatively rare to collect first-hand data for analysis.Because of the limited time and space,there are only seven Chinese teachers involved in the investigation,but because of the characteristics of qualitative research,the target of the survey is Chinese teachers who have experienced in the teaching of ancient poetry,but because of the limited time and space,there are only seven Chinese teachers involved in the investigation.The number of people does not affect the development of the study.This study uses two kinds of analysis methods,one is to conduct rough data analysis at the same time in the interview,and generally find out which repetitive parts of the participants in the interview;The second traditional analysis method uses different colors to identify recurring themes in interview texts and generalizes the similar and different experiences of teachers,which is the main method of data analysis in this study.The references used in this paper come from Chinese literature and foreign language literature,and foreign language literature accounts for most of them.This is mainly to consider the history of development of Chinese international education is shorter than the English as a second language,foreign language poetry teaching and Chinese ancient poetry teaching have a lot of similarities,there are many places to learn from.Both at home and abroad,poetry teaching has been separated from language teaching and paid little attention to poetry teaching.Many articles discuss the importance of poetry in language teaching and the teaching methods of poetry.Through studying the interviews of seven teachers in ancient poetry class,it is found that teachers are the most difficult places to understand ancient poetry,including the understanding of artistic conception,the understanding of verbs of rare words or empty words,and the comprehension of poetry sentences.Another teacher found it most difficult for the students to write their own poems.Secondly,this paper collates the teaching methods of ancient poetry which have been practiced by these teachers(situational teaching method,performance teaching method,and music teaching method).Finally,this paper summarizes the attitude of teachers and students to the teaching of ancient poetry.Teachers think that students prefer ancient poetry lessons,but four teachers prefer to show them that they are teaching ancient poetry,but with the students' attitude,four teachers prefer to show that they are interested in teaching ancient poetry.
