Research On Governor Li Weijun's Governance Of Zhili

Li WeiJun was the first governor of the Zhili Governor of the Qing Dynasty since he became a custom.He was the governor of Zhili from February to October of the first year of Yongzheng(1723)and the governor of Zhili from October to August of the second year.He worked in Zhili for two years and six months.During his administration of Zhili,he carried out a series of reforms to effectively maintain the stability of the Zhili area.In the last years of Emperor Kangxi,the rule of law was abolished,the party struggled,the hurricane prevailed,and the social contradictions were sharp.After the reign of Emperor Yongzheng,he changed the social situation at that time and carried out drastic reforms.The Zhili area is the hinterland of Gyeonggi,and its geographical location is crucial.As the highest military and political chief of Zhili,Li WeiJuns political activities during his supervision were related to the social development of the Zhili area and the stability of the central political situation in the early years of Yongzheng.Therefore,the study of Li Weijun has important academic value for the governance of Zhili area.This paper mainly studies the political activities,achievements and historical evaluation of Li WeiJun during his tenure at Zhili.Li WeiJun rectified and rectified the situation in which the corrupt officials in the Zhili area were rampant and the political style was decadent;handling the government affairs,rescuing the rivers,rescuing the victims,opening the warehouses,etc.,so that the people would not be displaced,alleviating social contradictions;regulating Manchu-Chinese relations,The ban on unscrupulous associations has eliminated the factors of social instability;the implementation of amortization into the acre and the abolition of the head tax,which is a major reform of the ancient Chinese servitude system,promoted the development of the social economy of Zhili;reorganized the military and maintained the combat effectiveness of the army,It has improved the long-term corruption of the Zhili Green Battalion.During Li WeiJun's tenure,Zhizhi was relatively better.The social economy and culture of Zhili had developed,and the social contradictions had eased.It played an important role in the stability of the political situation in the early years of Yongzheng.
