On The Spiritual Dilemma Of Intellectuals In Yan Zhen's Novels

Yan Zhen always pays close attention to intellectuals and insists on "writing heart for contemporary intellectuals".His four novels,Used to be the End of World,The Wavy Water,Because They are Woman and Above Alive,are keen and thoughtful in presenting the difficult problem of intellectuals' survival in the context of social transformation,as well as the spiritual dilemma of psychological distress,identity anxiety,emotional disillusionment and value loss caused by material distress.Therefore,the intellectual's spiritual dilemma is an effective entrance to the deep interpretation of Yan Zhen's novels.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion to discuss the intellectual spiritual dilemma of Yan Zhen's novels.The main body first analyzes the intellectuals' spirit of The Times and reveals the individual life accumulation and social and cultural foundation of Yan Zhen's novels.Then on the basis of spirit personality character consistency,concrete analysis of four works show the manifestation of intellectuals,the hero of the spirit of adversity,to explore the complex social environment and the main body spirit fade on the formation of the spiritual predicament of intellectuals influence and role,and finally discusses the artistic path of Yan Zhen analyze the spiritual predicament of intellectuals.In the context of the era of social transformation and intellectual spiritual differentiation,Yan Zhen combined his own life experience with social observation,and wrote a mirror image of the material pressure and spiritual dilemma of intellectuals with the attitude of sympathy and understanding.The protagonists of the novel,Gao Liwei,Chi Dawei,Liu Yiyi and Nie Zhiyuan,are respectively faced with the pressure from overseas survival,official position power,housing,marriage and academic title.Although the survival problems are different,the spiritual personality shows a high degree of consistency.Mental distress caused by physical distress,and struggle,the deformation of desire inflation could get the collapse of pure love,getting lost in self value of individual life deeply significance question,even beyond the spiritual predicament of the existing,intellectuals are always at the nothingness of rootless,this spirit is the way out is hard to find pain and suffering in Yan Zhen's novels of intellectuals in the profound and lasting mental suffering.At the same time,Yan Zhen reveals the dual influences of the complex social environment of intellectual spiritual predicament,the subject spirit of intellectuals themselves and the fading of critical consciousness.With the help of the internal perspective of the protagonist,the author writes the spiritual dilemma through the dialogue and psychological activities of the characters,and inserts the thinking of philosophy of life into the daily life scenes,which has a solid philosophical basis and corresponds to the theme.
