Professor Joseph S.Nye Jr once said that the strength and image of the country cannot be determined solely by political and economic forces.Social living conditions and cultural level which named "soft power" are also important factors.Cultural soft power refers to the cohesiveness, appeal, and spiritual power of the cultural factors of a country or nation, such as traditional culture and values, and the external penetration, attraction and persuasion.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia in 1972,the exchanges between the two countries have continued to develop and deepen. In recent years,China and Australia have entered a new stage in national construction, and trade has been frequent. With the advancement of Australia-China relations, how to improve the understanding and cognition of Chinese culture in Australian society is crucial. This is not only due to the essence of culture itself, but also to the era of globalization, where culture has become a core part of the country and soft power.Against this background,Chinese media has gradually attracted attention, and its spread of Chinese culture has become a topic of general concern. This paper conducts content analysis and text analysis on representative Chinese media in Australia, supplemented by interviews.Through the analysis of Australian and Chinese media content, the Australian-Chinese media has the largest proportion of cultural issues and holds recognition and affirmative attitude towards Chinese culture. In the text analysis of specific news reports, cutting in from the cultural paradigm and cultural values,it was found that the Australian-Chinese media in the news language more agrees with the Chinese cultural traditions and the conclusions of Chinese culture, but this conclusion also reflects the anxiety and embarrassment of overseas Chinese in the multicultural society and expound how Australian Chinese media has constructed Chinese cultural identity to overseas audiences through news language.
